I blinked, and it’s April 6th! It’s time to talk about where I ate in March. I went on two trips last month. First, I hosted my biannual Mom’s Retreat in New Buffalo. It’s a group of Chicago parents who get together to just relax. We do the bare minimum, and it’s perfect. If you haven’t been to New Buffalo, it’s an easy weekend getaway from Chicago; it’s just over an hour away, and there are some great hotels and restaurants.

My family spent Spring Break at the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale. It’s a wonderful resort for families, and we enjoyed the on-site restaurants, especially Toro and La Hacienda. There is a Toro location at the Fairmont Chicago, too! But, since I focus on Chicago content, I want to focus on Chicago restaurants.

River North

This was a standout meal for March, and my first time dining here. We had the massive mozzarella sticks, pizza, and the chicken parmesan. My daughter had buttered noodles, and she gave them an enthusiastic thumbs-up after her first bite. She’s 5 and a half, and happy to come to restaurants with us, but she’s not an adventurous eater at the moment.
